Aquaforest KH Plus Lab 1l & 2 Litres

The highest concentrated solution for raising carbonate hardness in marine aquariums. KH Plus was created for maintaining sudden carbonate hardness drops and restoring the ionic balance in the aquarium. The proper value of carbonate ions is necessary for healthy coral growth and for building skeletons. Due to the presence of carbonate ions, maintaining stable pH level is possible.

Dosage: 10 ml of KH Plus solution raises carbonate hardness by 0.5 dKH in 100 l (27 US gal) of water. Carbonate hardness in a reef aquarium should be about 6.5 -8.5 dKH. Do not raise dKH more than 0.5 dKH per 24 hours.
Please ensure your magnesium level is within the recommended range before attempting to raise or adjust your calcium and alkalinity levels.

Aquaforest MG Plus Lab 1l & 2 Litres

The highest concentrated formula for raising magnesium levels in marine aquariums. Mg Plus is created for managing shortages and sudden drops of magnesium levels. Magnesium is necessary for healthy and balanced growth of corals. The appropriate level of magnesium in the tank water provides corals better absorption of calcium. A reduced level of magnesium may cause an inability to maintain proper calcium levels and a lowered pH. The recommended magnesium level in reef aquariums is 1180 – 1460 mg/l (ppm).

Dosage: 10 ml of the product increases the magnesium level by 10 mg/l (ppm) in 100 litres (27 US gal) of water.

Dosage should be based on magnesium consumption. Note, that each aquarium is different and final dosage depends on the coral cast and individual aquarium needs. Both, deficiency and excess micronutrients will affect aquarium inhabitants, therefore dosage should be selected and modified on the basis of regular Aquaforest Lab water tests.

Aquaforest Strontium Lab 1 Litre

Supplement containing highly concentrated strontium and barium. Strontium, after calcium and magnesium, is one of the most important elements needed for growth of hard corals. Strontium supports the formation of hard coral skeletal tissue and significantly improves the calcium absorption. It also supports the growth of soft corals. In a closed aquarium system, skimmer and filtration media remove strontium deposits from the water, therefore its supplementation is necessary.

In order to ensure that the aquarium conditions are as close as possible to the natural ones, the preparation was enriched with the addition of barium, which is also present and significant in seawater. Thanks to the appropriate proportions, Strontium effectively complements the strontium and barium deficiencies in aquarium water and guarantees the perfect ratio of these elements.

Dosage: 10 ml of the product increases the strontium level by 1 mg/l (ppm) in 100 litres (27 US gal) of water. The recommended level of strontium in aquarium water is  6.00 – 10.00 mg/l (ppm).

Aquaforest Kalium Lab 1 Litre

Supplement containing highly concentrated potassium. Potassium is an important element responsible for neurological functions. In soft corals, potassium participates in the transport of nutrients. In SPS corals the deficiency of this valuable element causes a faded pink and red colour. Usage of zeolites-based filtration media in the aquarium may lead to potassium deficiency. Regular and balanced use of Kalium maintains a proper level of potassium and strengthens the red and pink colouration of SPS corals.

Dosage: 10 ml of the product increases the potassium level by 10 mg/l (ppm) in 100 litres (27 US gal) of water.
The recommended level of potassium in the reef aquarium is 360 – 380 mg/l.

Aquaforest Iodum Lab 1 Litre

Supplement containing concentrated iodine. In marine aquariums iodine is crucial for general cell functioning and the transfer of nutrients between them. Iodine is constantly consumed by tank inhabitants, therefore, without supplementation its level drops quickly.

Iodine is used by corals for synthesizing pigments which allow them to adapt to variable lighting conditions and protect the fragile coral tissues from UV radiation. Iodine intensifies dark blue and purple colouration of hard corals. Appropriate iodine content in seawater tank supports shrimp molting. Regular dosage of Iodum keeps iodine content at the same level as in natural seawater.

Dosage: 10 ml of the product increases the iodine level by 100 μg/l in 100 litres (27 US gal) of water.

Fluorine participates in the calcification process and supports skeletal tissue. Sodium fluoride and calcium fluoride are the building material of coral skeletons, therefore fluoride supplementation is necessary in a reef aquarium. Balanced fluoride supplementation, effectively strengthens the blue and white colouration of SPS corals, as well as highlighting the fluorescence of most corals. Contains traces of potassium and iodine.

Dosage: 10 ml of Fluorum in 100 l (27 US gal) of water raises the fluorine level by 0.1 mg/l (ppm). It is important that each aquarium is different and the dosage depends on the coral cast and individual needs.
