Aquaforest Microelements for Coral Enhancement
the Aquaforest Microelements for Coral Enhancement range cater’s for altering the finer water chemistry balance in your marine aquarium. The entire range is available from this page to make life easier!t
Aquaforest Microelements Strontium
Supplement containing highly concentrated strontium and barium. Strontium, after calcium and magnesium, is one of the most important elements needed for growth of hard corals. Strontium supports the formation of hard coral skeletal tissue and significantly improves the calcium absorption. It also supports the growth of soft corals. In a closed aquarium system, skimmer and filtration media remove strontium deposits from the water, therefore its supplementation is necessary.
In order to ensure that the aquarium conditions are as close as possible to the natural ones, the preparation was enriched with the addition of barium, which is also present and significant in seawater. Thanks to the appropriate proportions, Strontium effectively complements the strontium and barium deficiencies in aquarium water and guarantees the perfect ratio of these elements. The recommended level of strontium in aquarium water is 6.00 – 10.00 mg/l (ppm).
Dosage: 1 drop per 100 l (27 US gal) of water daily. 1 ml of Strontium (~15 drops) in 100 l (27 US gal) of water raises the strontium level by 1,09 ppm. It is important that each aquarium is different and the dosage depends on the coral cast and individual needs.
Aquaforest Iron
Supplement containing highly concentrated iron. Iron is an important micronutrient absorbed by corals and sea anemones. Regular and balanced iron supplementation provides intense green coloration of corals. Iron plays an important role in the process of photosynthesis, therefore its supplementation improves the coral nutrition process. Especially supports green coloring of Acroporas as well as other SPS corals.
Dosage: 1 drop per 100 liters (27 US gal) daily.
The recommended level of iron in aquarium water is 0.02 – 0.06 mg/l (ppm).
1 ml of Iron (~15 drops) in 100 l (27 US gal) raises the iron level in water by 0.005 ppm = 5 μg/l. It is important that each aquarium is different and the dosage depends on the coral cast and individual needs. Do not overtighten the screw, otherwise the cover might be damaged.
Aquaforest Iodum
Supplement containing concentrated iodine. In marine aquariums iodine is crucial for the general cell functioning and the transfer of nutrients between them. Iodine is constantly consumed by tank inhabitants, therefore, without supplementation its level drops quickly.
Iodine is used by corals for synthesizing pigments which allow them to adapt to variable lighting conditions and protect the fragile coral tissues from UV radiation. Iodum intensifies dark blue and purple coloration of hard corals. Appropriate iodine content in seawater tank supports shrimp molting. Regular dosage of Iodum allows to keep iodine content at the same level as in the natural sea water.
Dosage: 1 drop per 100 l (27 US gal) of water daily. 1 drop of Iodum raises iodine level by 0.01 ppm in 100 l of water.
The recommended level of iodine in aquarium water is 0.055 – 0.07 mg/l (ppm).
Keep away from children. Product for aquarium use only. Not suitable for human consumption. Do not overtighten the screw, otherwise the cover might be damaged.
Aquaforest Fluorine
Supplement containing highly concentrated fluoride. Fluorine is one of the main micronutrients contained in seawater. In a closed aquarium system, skimmer and filtration media remove fluorine deposits from the water, therefore its supplementation is necessary. Fluorine participates in the calcification process and supports skeletal tissue.
Sodium fluoride and calcium fluoride are the building material of coral skeletons, therefore fluoride supplementation is necessary in a reef aquarium. Balanced fluoride supplementation, effectively strengthens the blue and white coloration of SPS corals, as well as highlight the fluorescence of most corals.
Contains traces of potassium and iodine.
Dosage: 1 drop per 100 l (27 US gal) of water daily. 1 ml of Fluorine (~15 drops) in 100 l (27 US gal) of water raises the fluorine level by 0,06 ppm. It is important that each aquarium is different and the dosage depends on the coral cast and individual needs. The recommended level of fluorine in aquarium water is 1.2-1.4 mg/l (ppm). Do not overtighten the screw, otherwise the cover might be damaged.
Aquaforest Kalium
Supplement containing highly concentrated potassium. Potassium is an important element responsible for neurological functions. In soft corals, potassium participates in the transport of nutrients. In SPS corals the deficiency of this valuable element causes a faded pink and red color. Usage of zeolites-based filtration media in the aquarium may lead to potassium deficiency.
Regular and balanced use of Kalium allows maintaining proper level of potassium and strengthens the red and pink coloration of SPS corals. The recommended level of potassium in aquarium water is 360 –420 mg/l (ppm).
Dosage: 1 drop per 100 liters (27 US gal) daily. 1 ml of Kalium in 100 l (27 US gal) of water raises the potassium level by 1.86 ppm. It is important that each aquarium is different and the dosage depends on the coral cast and individual needs. Do not overtighten the screw, otherwise the cover might be damaged.
Aquaforest MicroE
Supplement contains concentrated heavy metals – manganese, vanadium, zinc, nickel, iron, chromium, cobalt & copper. Mixture of trace elements necessary for all marine organisms.
Carefully selected ratio for optimal conditions.
Dosage: 1 drop per 100l(27 US gal.) daily.
Capacity: bottle of 10ml( 0.35 fl.oz.), 50ml( 1.7 fl.oz.). Do not overtighten the screw, otherwise the cover might be damaged.
