Duncan Coral Frags Husbandry
Duncan Coral are mostly found in the rocky and sandy sea beds present around Australia, as well as in the South China sea. They are a hardy LPS coral that does fine towards the bottom of your aquarium in lower light (but still wet lit) areas with a moderate flow. They are a fleshy coral that will doe best with room to spread out so try not to place them too near other corals.
Feeding Duncan Coral
Duncan Coral can survive off of a combination of photosynthesis, zooplankton and other food items. They will happily feed on whole foods such as Mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and specific LPS coral food.
Feeding is also an easy process. Target feeding is an option where a tool is used to place the food directly onto the polyps’ tentacles. Hand feeding is also a very simple option, although caution is advised since these creatures are extremely sensitive to touch. If frightened, they will close up and be unable to eat.
